This documentary is part of a series called the Mysteries of Asia. The film explores temples built in South India more than 1,000 years ago starting with the reign of Rajaraja Cholan, one of India’s greatest kings. The U.S. Senate, Versailles, the Houses of Parliament, and St. Paul’s Basilica in Rome could all fit within a single temple complex. Records reveal that trained elephants had to drag millions of stone blocks to help erect these structures, more than the Egyptian pyramids. Segment 1 (10:00 min)
