how cool…I saw this one on tv awhile back…i’ve always dreamed of going to the south pacific and staying at one of those lodgings over the water…i think they are called bures (not sure if i spelled it correctly)…

The local food looks yummy and earthy…the coconut crab is very tempting.
My family said Tahiti was very expensive; it certainly wasn’t a shopping haven. The local produce was relatively cheap, but not western food. A buffet at Sofitel cost something like NZ$100+ per head, and a hamburger NZ$30. Luckily they rented an apartment so could do their own cooking.
