Laos Residents Wary of Chinese Investment

The government in Laos recently passed a new law making it easier for foreigners to invest in the country and buy land. But some Laotians are concerned that the law puts the country in danger of being overrun, particularly by Chinese investors who have poured more than two billion dollars into Laos in the last nine years.
