I always enjoy listening to Zinn. Like Chomsky, you ask him a question and you get a very long detailed answer all in historical context!
I think you were right when you said Obama needed to restrain his message in order to get elected. Now that he’s in there he keeps pushing the limits – he’s got a great momentum building up. And he’s acting quickly and decisively on the whole range of issues… much of which is to undo the damage done so cynically over the past 8 years. He is literally giving America a facelift…
