  1. Hmmm, do you think that perhaps the food was the first export and Bollywood came afterwards. I am not certain since by past lives are a little hazy (kidding) but it seems a that Indian food had a first wave that hit the shores of some Asian countries. Certainly, there is a second wave now in Western countries…

  2. yummm….i know what i’m going to watch tonight… :-) have you ever had that indian party mix kind of snack, it is spicy and crunchy?…very addictive…think it is called namkeen…

  3. You are absolutely right. I was thinking of the second waves that hit Western countries; more of hole-in-a-wall, Indian fast food kinda thing.

  4. Ann, I am sure I had that snack before without knowing the name. One of the best things about traveling is eating the local food, isn’t it?

Chaun, there’s a sudden surge of Indian eateries in San Francisco in the last few years. I think, although I may be wrong, that after the dot.com bubble bust, a lot of Indian technologists went into the food business.

  5. i came back and watched the series last night…another great installment….I really need to get to India…and, believe it or not, there is even quite a few Indian eateries here in Memphis….hmmm….maybe i need to go to one for lunch today….

  6. Guess who went to eat Indian food for lunch today?? :-)

And, yes, I think you have to be a bit more careful in India…I would expect if I go to get sick for a bit…
