Knowing what Noam knows, question is…what does each of us elect to do to effect paradigm change?

Marshall McCluhan’s Global Village and Noam Chomsky’s “anarchy” may converge to create some improved form of democracy–thanks to Google before they get too big and too corporate.

Many believe that Obama’s election is evidence such change is possible. More cynical (pragmatic?) views says things will remain pretty much the same.

Change starts from within us, small groups, many groups…like Shapeshift and others. Keep up the great work!

It’s a lot easier to be cynical but it’s not as fun and fulfilling…

what can I say, other than in all my ‘pessemistic’ comments all I have been doing in is echoing exactly what Chomsky says here… always a pleasure to listen to him speak. I think this interview was well done because Chomsky was allowed to expand on each answer without being interupted continually as some other interviewers like to do.

I wonder if you recognize or know the interviewer? Toronto’s own Avi Lewis… husband of outspoken activist and film maker Naomi Klein, son of former UN Ambassador Stephen Lewis, etc. I had sort of lost track of him lately, didnt know he was working for Al Jazeera now…
