Save Tibetan Culture!

Thanks for making this beautifully meditative film, John. It seems the human race urgently needs to save the Tibetan culture so we can all arrive at a new state of consciousness. For so long, they have studied the essence of the mind and consciousness and have waited for us to get over our ignorance, fears, and hatred. In theses dangerous times of greed and power mongering, we need their wisdom more than ever.

A introspective trip down the memory lane for me. Tibet touched something deep inside me while I was there, and changed some of my perspectives on life, etc as well. You are so right, David. In these times and age, we desperately need to draw from the Tibetan wisdom - the thing is, will it be destroyed before the mainstream is sufficiently aware to reach out and preserve it?

I have not been in Tibet but the more I learn about, the more its culture and plight touches me. Perhaps, if are lucky, we’ve had a past life there. But you are so right about the destructive forces today. Well, one major thing will happen soon is Bush will be out of office and not a minute too soon. I fear though that in his last days, he may cause more havoc. If I were more into those doom day prophecies, I would think that Bush is the anti-Christ. Personally, I think a lot of what will change the world is if the U.S. can really live up to her ideals which the Bush doctrine all but destryed in the past 8 years. With Obama, we have a chance, with McCain, we will probably end up destroying the world.

Another week and the US (and the sensible rest of the world) will celebrate a new dawn; new hope; new future. I can’t remember if I have been more emotionally involved in any presidential election in my life! I think Obama - amongst many things - not only will galvanise the nation’s resolves but also help regain a lot of the respect from the rest of the world.

Yes, in this U.S. election, it does seem that the whole world is watching. It shows how much more interconnected we have become and makes things like warfare seem very much like a relic of the past. The Internet is already global, the citizens of the world are all connecting to one another, curious about each other. The politicians have taken way to long to follow.
