Michio Kaku is so good in using analogies to help us understand what must be very complex theories. When we think about life’s unexplained mysteries and see them in the context of multi-verse, the theory seems very plausible, very real. And it is so true that we do not have, or have not attained the consciousness to understand what beyond our own neighbourhood. Our arrogance doesn’t help.

I can’t help seeing a parallel between the concept of Multiverse and what is put forth by a certain ‘religion’ which my mother studies. I don’t know much about it, but one of the core beliefs is that we exist in multi-dimensions, each with its own consciousness. Through meditation and the like, we can attain a higher consciousness which enables us to travel to and appreciate a different dimension. May be I should look into this a bit more - my mother will be so pleased when I do. :)

Yes, consider that Tibetan monks have often said that they have systematically studied the nature of consciousness through mediation for hundreds of years. Undoubtedly, they have an in-depth understanding of the concept of the Multiverse. Many traditional healers/shamans from central and south Americas also understand this concept although they see it as a matrix where all possibilities and time exist concurrently. Scientist have ignored all these concept only to come almost full circle to seeing the world and universe in a much similar way.

If you have not seen it yet, you may want to check out the story on Edgar Cayce who is a very odd and interesting case of someone who was able to consistently tap into this Multiverse, although he called it “The Akashic Records”.

And yes, our ego and arrogance do not help us…. but I like to believe we are moving fro the ME generation to the WE generation. I hope you find your path and perhaps make your mom very happy at the same time…:~)

Oh yes, I have watched Edgar Cayce. In face, one of the things I was thinking of when I said life’s mysteries was his phenomenal abilities - how else can one explain something like that other than the existence of Multiverse?
