The Life of Buddha

This excellent 2003 BBC/Discovery Channel co-produced documentary follows the Buddha on his journey from the lap of luxury to the verge of starvation and final enlightenment. Shot on location in Nepal and India, Life of the Buddha also uses outstanding computer-generated images and recent archaeological discoveries to piece together this remarkable story. (49:54 min)

    I have always thought that if I were to pick a religion, Buddhism would be the way to go simply for its intellectuality and profound relevance particularly in today’s world.

    I really like the idea that the path to Nirvana lies within our mind, in each and every one of us.
