what a great story and pushing the envelope design! I watched 3 parts at lunch and watched the last bit as soon as I got home….a stunning example of teamwork to pull this amazing structure off…
It’s interesting to note that this Water Cube documentary was made by National Geographic while the Bird’s Nest documentary was made by the Discovery Channel. Also, did you notice how the sound was very off in a lot of parts. This must have been edited to air in China although the editing was pretty good…:~)
yep, I noticed the audio was off…I thought the same as you, that it was modified to air in China…but it was such a great story the audio did not really distract..
great to see that many of these buildings are international collborations! great glimpse into the technological innovations that were used in the construction of the Water Cube!
I thought the mismatching of sound and video was distracting and occassionally funny. This is often a consequence when ripping video or converting from one video format to another.
