I watched quite a few of the speeches….we caught Obama’s speech last night from our hotel in Mexico City…I thought it was quite impressive, hitting on most of the key issues….I also really like his wife, she has quite an impressive background herself and seems very well grounded…

I knew you were going to post this! I watched Obama’s speech live last night too and caught bits and pieces of the others. Good job to tie them all together here for easy reference.
I was quite impressed with Obama’s speech as well. I liked his honesty and integrity as well as his hopeful and positive outlook for the future. I hope the Dem’s can win and make most of these changes they are promising. In reality, there are a lot of vested interests that wont like to see the apple cart upset. I cant help thinking about what happenend to the last guys who tried that (JFK and RFK)
Hopefully though, things can move forward and this promises to be a very exciting next 4 years at the very least…

While Obama’s speech was very good, I think he did not deliver the best one at the DNC… which was delivered by either Bill or Hillary Clinton, I can’t decide who. Certainly, Hillary’s was the most crucial. Even though she is not one of the candidates, Hilary is so important that the other candidate had to pick another woman to be his running mate.

I agree….I also really liked both the Clintons speeches…Hillary did exactly what she needed to do and it was the strongest speech I’ve ever heard her deliver….

Each speech each speaker had their unique purpose and role…together, the spirit came out with the message. The Medium is the Message (McCluhan).
In short, it was a call to action…for all of us. CHANGE WE MUST!

Indeed, it was a very inspiring convention. The announcers on PBS kept saying they’ve never seen anything like it.
